Ceremony of Love and Healing for Mother Earth and Her Oceans
Choose a place that youd like to perform this Sacred Ceremony and decide whether you will be doing it alone or with others. It would be wonderful to do this near a body of water, yet if that is not convenient, the Love and Healing will get to Mother Earth and the Oceans no matter where you are.
Create an altar by placing a cloth on the ground or a tabletop, or perhaps you would prefer to place your altar items directly upon the Earth with no cloth. Place upon your altar the following items (if you know the compass directions where you are, you can place these items in the appropriate direction):
- Dried sage or incense East Element of Air - Candle South Element of Fire - Bowl of water West Element of Water - Crystal or rock North Element of Earth - Picture or statue of an angel in the center Spirit
Optional items for the altar: bell, feather, pictures or statues of an animal and dolphin or whale, picture of the Earth
Also have on hand matches or a lighter.
To begin the Ceremony, ring the bell or say I now begin this Sacred Ceremony. Light the sage or incense and say I invite the Direction of East, Element of Air, and Archangel Raphael to open our Sacred Circle. I ask to be cleansed and purified. Fan the smoke with the feather or your hand around your body and then around the room or area. This clears your energy field and the energy in the space.
Light the candle and say I invite the Direction of South, Element of Fire, and Archangel Michael. I welcome you to this Sacred Circle and Ceremony. Thank you for your power of transmutation and illumination.
Hold the bowl of water and say I invite the Direction of West, Element of Water, and Archangel Gabriel to this Sacred Circle. Thank you for your gifts of renewal and rejuvenation.
Hold the crystal or rock and say I invite the Direction of North, Element of Earth, and Archangel Uriel to our Ceremony and thank you for completing our Circle. May you bring grounding and strengthening energy.
Hold the picture or statue of the angel and say I invite Spirit and all my guides and angels to the Circle. May you bless all that is done in this Ceremony.
Ask Archangel Michael to clear the fears and anger that surrounds the issues that the Earth and her Oceans are having, and to transmute them into a healthy solution.
Place your hands over the bowl of water and ask Archangel Raphael to send healing energy down through the top of your head, through your arms, and out your hands. Visualize this stream of healing energy flowing into the bowl of water.
Acknowledge that there have been things that each of us have done to contribute to the polluting of our waters and Earth. Recite the simple, yet powerful Hawaiian Prayer of Forgiveness while humbly sending Love from your heart through your hands into the bowl of water:
I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.
Know that all things are possible and that miracles can occur when two or more gather in prayer (imagine all the people doing this same Ceremony).
Take the bowl and ceremoniously and reverently pour the water that contains the Love and Healing energy into the body of water (if that is your location) or into the earth. Ask God (or the name you use for your Higher Power) to shine his Light and surround the Earth in it.
To close the Ceremony, start with the Direction of North and thank each Direction, Element and Archangel for their assistance, releasing them from the Sacred Circle. Thank God, and your angels and guides for all of their blessings. Ring the bell or say This Sacred Ceremony is complete.
(Note: Feel free to add any other prayers or activities, like meditation, drumming, planting a tree or plant in honor of Mother Earth. etc.)
